Coffee Shop Near Houston Claims to Have the Fastest Drive-Thru

A new drive-thru coffee shop near Houston is quickly gaining attention for its rapid service and creative drinks. RoadRunners Coffee, which opened in March at 9526 Huffmeister Road in Cypress, Texas, promises to deliver up to three drinks in 60 seconds or less; if not, your drink is free. Moreover, if you’re ordering four to six drinks, they guarantee them in 90 seconds.

Founders Jonathan Kay, Gabriel Cuneio, and Jordan Carbia, all students at the University of Houston, launched RoadRunners with one goal in mind: to redefine coffee service speed, especially in the drive-thru. Notably, Kay, who previously worked at Chick-fil-A, combined his fast-food experience with insights from UH’s entrepreneurship program to help bring this idea to life.

“We saw an opportunity to do something different. People want good coffee fast, and we can deliver that,” stated Kay.

As a result, customers are not only intrigued by the speed but also impressed by the quality. The menu offers a wide selection, including The Cleopatra, which is espresso with honey and salted caramel. They also offer gelato milkshakes, matcha drinks, mint Oreo shakes, and energy drinks. Importantly, all items are made without artificial colors or dyes, which sets them apart from many competitors.

Thanks to strong word of mouth and viral videos, RoadRunners and its fast drive-thru has grown quickly in popularity. In particular, TikTok and Instagram food influencers have highlighted both the speed of service and the quality of drinks. For instance, one widely shared TikTok even calls it “the world’s fastest drive-thru.”

Building on this buzz, the founders are using the momentum to expand. They plan to open two more Texas locations by summer 2026 and ultimately aim for a total of 30 stores statewide by 2030. Currently, they report giving away about two drinks each week when time guarantees aren’t met—a small price to pay for reinforcing their brand promise.
