Eight Injured in Boulder, CO, fire Attack at Pro-Israel Event

Eight people were hospitalized after a violent attack in Boulder, Colorado. A man used a bug sprayer converted into a flamethrower to set fire to people gathered at Pearl Street Mall. According to officials, the suspect yelled “Free Palestine” during the assault.

In addition to the flamethrower, the attacker, Mohamed Sabry Soliman, also threw Molotov cocktails. He was arrested moments after the incident. Later, authorities confirmed that Soliman, an Egyptian national, had overstayed his visa and was in the U.S. illegally. Among the victims was an 88-year-old Holocaust survivor.

As a result, the FBI is now leading the investigation and treating the case as a domestic terror threat. The crowd had gathered to show support for Israeli hostages. One local witness described the scene: “There were people on the ground and a bunch of others running over with buckets and bottles and whatever they could carry water in.”
