Cassie Ventura Speaks Out in Court Against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs

Cassie Ventura, former partner of Sean “Diddy” Combs, testified on May 13 in Manhattan as part of a federal case involving multiple criminal charges. During her testimony, she told the jury that Combs used fear, violence, and manipulation to control her throughout their relationship.
Later, while addressing the court in detail, Ventura said Combs repeatedly forced her into unwanted sexual encounters with other people while he watched and filmed them. Furthermore, she explained that he used the recordings to keep her from leaving.
“He used power, fear, and control to keep me there,” Ventura said. “I didn’t think I had a way out.”
According to Ventura, she first met Combs when she was 19. From that point on, she said, he shaped nearly every part of her life. As the years went on, she added, he controlled who she spoke to, gave her drugs, and became physically abusive. Eventually, she recalled being dragged by the hair, punched, and stomped on during heated moments.
Court Reviews Footage
As part of the case, the court reviewed surveillance footage from a hotel in 2016. The video appears to show Combs chasing and hitting Ventura in a hallway. A hotel worker testified that Combs later offered him money in an attempt to keep the video out of public view.
Combs, who has pleaded not guilty to all charges, is being held at a detention center in Brooklyn. He faces charges including sex trafficking and racketeering. His attorneys argue that the relationship was consensual and that prosecutors have twisted the facts.
With the trial still underway, the jury has been told to focus on evidence rather than Combs’ public image. Ventura’s testimony is expected to be a key part of the case, which will continue in the weeks ahead.
