How to Get 50% Off Tickets at AMC Theatres in Houston This Summer
AMC Theatres is rolling out big savings for moviegoers this summer. Starting in July, all AMC Stubs members—including those on the free Insider plan—get half off standard adult tickets and small popcorn-and-drink combos every Tuesday and Wednesday at participating theaters, including several in Houston.
The program began on July 8 and applies to base adult tickets all day long, not just in the evening. It also includes a 50% discount on a small popcorn and drink combo when purchased together at the concession stand. Members can redeem the offer by signing up for AMC Stubs online, on the app, or in person at the theater.

- 50% off adult movie tickets on both Tuesdays and Wednesdays
- 50% off small popcorn and drink combo (in-theater purchases only)
- Open to AMC Stubs members of all levels
AMC confirmed that the discount excludes IMAX, Dolby Cinema, and RealD 3D formats. Additional fees, such as online convenience charges, still apply. Holiday periods and special presentations may also be exempt.

The company said the decision to expand the discount program was based on strong turnout from the existing Tuesday deal. “Following the overwhelmingly positive guest response to our announcement of 50% Off Wednesdays ticket pricing, two things became clear…Tuesdays and Wednesdays will both feature the same 50% Off pricing offer,” AMC said in a press release.
Movie fans in Houston can now catch titles like F1 The Movie, 28 Years Later, and The Phoenician Scheme for a lower price, making summer entertainment a bit more affordable.
