10 Songs We’re Hoping to Hear from Shakira in Houston

· · · ·

Shakira is heading to Houston for not one, but two nights on her 2025 Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour. After nearly a decade without a full tour and a seven-year gap between albums, her return feels bigger than ever.

But with a catalog that runs deep across multiple languages and genres, it’s impossible to predict exactly what she’ll bring to the stage at Toyota Center on June 15 and 16. That said, we’ve studied her recent tour dates across North America and picked 10 songs we’re really hoping to catch live when she stops in town.

  • Dates: June 15 & 16
  • Venue: Toyota Center, Houston
  • Tour: Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran
  • Tickets: ToyotaCenter.com and Ticketmaster

10 Songs We Hope Shakira Performs in Houston This June 2025

1. La Fuerte

Recent shows in Charlotte and New Jersey have kicked off with this Bizarrap-produced opener. It’s rhythmic, intense, and sets the tone for the night with a fresh sound that still feels grounded in her roots.

2. Girl Like Me

This high-energy collaboration with Black Eyed Peas isn’t just for TikTok. Fans in Atlanta got the full version, complete with dance routines that felt straight out of a music video.

3. Las de la Intuición / Estoy Aquí

A thoughtful blend of old and older. This medley made an appearance in Toronto and brought a wave of nostalgia. “Estoy Aquí” was one of her first hits in Latin America, and pairing it with “Las de la Intuición” keeps it light but loaded with emotion.

4. Empire / Inevitable

This mashup appeared in several shows, including the one in Charlotte. “Empire” leans more cinematic, while “Inevitable” is stripped-down and raw. Together, they show off what Shakira can do vocally when she dials back the dance beats.

5. Te Felicito / TQG

Both songs came out of headline-making breakups, and both were part of her recent setlists in Montreal and Detroit. If the crowd sings every line louder than the speakers, we won’t be surprised.

6. Don’t Bother

One of the more rock-influenced songs in her English-language catalog, “Don’t Bother” reappeared on this tour after years of absence. Her Detroit crowd got it, and the reaction suggested it needs to stay.

7. Acróstico

This one’s personal. Written for her kids and often paired with family videos during performances, “Acróstico” was featured in New Jersey and added a quiet, heartfelt break in the middle of an otherwise high-tempo show.

8. Copa Vacía / La Bicicleta / La Tortura

This trio has been appearing as a full medley in multiple cities. It’s got balance: the newer, moodier “Copa Vacía,” the breezy feel of “La Bicicleta,” and the rhythmic strength of “La Tortura,” which fans in Charlotte got to hear live with Alejandro Sanz himself.

9. Hips Don’t Lie

It’s been a centerpiece of her shows since 2006, and that’s not changing. In Charlotte, Wyclef Jean joined her for a guest appearance. Houston might not get that cameo, but there’s little doubt this track will still bring the house down.

10. Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)

Frequently used to wrap up the night, “Waka Waka” has been closing the show in cities like Atlanta. It brings the energy full circle—one last dance before the lights go up.

What to Expect in Houston

Based on what we’ve seen so far, you can expect a show that blends her Spanish and English hits, a few slower moments, and plenty of room for dancing in your seat, or not in your seat at all. She’s been updating the order and mood slightly depending on the city, so there’s always a chance Houston gets something extra.
